Hello!
I’m Marlon, a self-taught, professional photographer based in Westchester, NY.
Since being introduced to the art of photography in high school, I have been practicing the craft for over 20 years. I am currently working as the principal photographer at The New York Botanical Garden in addition to being a general freelance photographer and photojournalist. I’ve been lucky to have my work appear in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Forbes, and more. Working primarily with natural light, I aim to produce imagery that displays the beauty of our world—and the moments within it—with honesty and appreciation. My goal is to continue working in the environmental, science, and conservation sectors to promote better understanding and protection of the world we live in.

This was never about the money. I started practicing photography purely for enjoyment and ended up doing it professionally by chance. I am very lucky to pursue my passion as a living, but I also need to eat tacos. That said, I work with my clients to find a place that works for both of us. I want us all to have beautiful images and still afford delicious tacos. Please reach out for any of your photographic needs and send a message to marloncophotography@gmail.com with your ideas and details for a customized quote.
